A while ago I was tagged in a food quiz. Since I’m still playing blog catch up and seem to be back in my “I can’t sleep after 4:30 am” phase, I think it’s the perfect thing to do RIGHT NOW.
1. What food do you consider the best “date” food? In other words, what meal or food item do you think is sexiest to eat in the company of someone you would like to look sexy around?
First of all, I look sexy eating anything I can keep off my shirt. Having said that here are some random considerations.
If I don’t hear you eat and don’t see the food in your mouth as you eat it, I could very likely find you sexy.
I appreciate relatively good table manners, yet knowing when to wipe your hands on your jeans, say at a State Fair, is also appreciated.
Raw oysters are just nasty. Don’t eat that shit just to try and impress. I’m married so you’re not going to get laid anyway.
Flourless chocolate cakes or good tiramisu make me moan a little bit at the table.
2. What well-known person would you like to share a meal with?
I think a meal with Julia Childs, Thomas Keller and other top “foodies” would be an incredible all around experience. No critics please, just the chefs. Other than that there’s a list for no apparent reason. I can imagine hysterical off beat dinner humor with Adam Sandler and Ellen Degeneres, politics with Obama and cocktails with the Rat Pack. I’m also becoming more of a Heidi Klum fan now that I live in Germany, and besides, I want to know if she really eats those McDonalds chicken sandwiches she advertises.
3. What does your perfect breakfast-in-bed look like? (Food AND the details, please. Candles? Music? Flowers? Hot tub? Dancing girls?
Hmmm… It usually involves my husband getting up, starting coffee and turning the heat up. Then, as I groggily sip away while staying cozy under the covers, he ventures out for fresh bakery rolls. I usually walk out to fresh deli meat, rolls, good cheese, soft boiled egg and fruit. A good German breakfast!!
4. What do you consider the best application of whipped cream to be?
I have to agree with several other of the survey takers: straight from the can to the mouth. Although, I’ve been known to have more fun with it.
5. Oh-God-No, Biff, the yacht is sinking! You are sent to the galley to retrieve the food. What luxury food items do you snatch first? The champagne? The caviar? Smoked Salmon? Truffles? Chocolate? Or something else?
I really like food. Do I have to pick one? I’d go with “Good God Buffy!! Grab the booze!” And there is a lot to be said about really good cheese.
Well, I’m going to be a bore and not tag anyone on this since, well, I’m pretty sure all my tag-ies have been tagged. Sorry.

it was fantastic having some really good cheddar – as wonderful as the US is they arent going to win any cheese competitions in my book.
